In the beginning:
.
eBaytm ~ Taming the Beast
was born during the bicentennial year of 2000. Well, actually it was conceived slowly over the previous 2 years
of the original author's experiences on the "fledgling" eBay Auction Site. It started out as a short
printed booklet giving the author's ideas and tips on making it big on eBay. Hundreds of copies of the book were
sold on eBay for $20.00 apiece. Things changed so quickly, and printing costs were significant, so it was later
converted to a webpage format and sold as a download. The project kept growing, downloads got longer, and CD burners
became more common, so the whole program was soon being sold on CDs. Finally, the Online BeastTamer's Club idea
was hatched, and in 2000 the program kicked off. Growth was rapid, and fortunes were starting to build, but a server
crash, followed by an untimely death brought things to a grinding halt. The project languished there in cyberlimbo
for well over a year. Copycats tried to cash in on the momentum, but none of them were able to capture the original
fervor of the original eBaytm ~ Taming the Beast program.
Well... it's back... and better than ever!
Under new ownership, the program has been changed to a monthly membership as many of the old members had requested.
They wanted to build a residual income rather than a "one-shot deal". The program is now under constant
expansion and update to keep abreast of the growing potential. In those medieval days of the online auctions, there
were probably very few people, including the author, that could have imagined how quickly the online auctionplace
could have become so massive and so much a part of so many people's lives. You've already recognized that, or you
wouldn't be reading this page right now. We've included the original version here on the site partly for nostalgia,
but also because if you are new to eBay, it has a lot of good ideas for beginners (and for many of us "old
pros" too). So if you have the time, read on. It's a fun read, and it'll be time well spent, but before you
implement these "old fashioned" ways, check out the all of the "new" resources available on
the Home Page.
